Police seek absconder
DURHAM -- Police are trying to locate Morris John Bennett, who is wanted as a probation/parole absconder on drug charges.
Bennett, 24, of Scout Drive, frequents the area of South Street/Enterprise Street. Police said he may also be in Wake County.
Anyone with information about Bennett's whereabouts is asked to call Investigator Arthur Holland at (919) 564-7128 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
Thefts reported
DURHAM -- Two gold bracelets with diamonds worth $1,300 were reported stolen from a home in the 3600 block of Ranbir Drive Saturday. In other crime:
- A man said he was robbed of $25 in an alley in the 400 block of Price Avenue at Fayetteville Street Sunday.
- Burglars stole a gun, computer, camera equipment, necklace and earrings valued at $2,250 from a home in the 6300 block of Amhurst Road Monday.
- Two ladders, a phone line, tools and copper piping worth $2,005 were stolen from a home in the 4500 block of South Alston Avenue Sunday.
- A juvenile said she was robbed of a camera worth $70 from a home in the 1900 block of Capps Street at Bacon Street Oct. 23.
